‘Spy x Family Code: White’ Anime Film Releases Feb 2024 In Singapore

Two months after its premiere in Japan, Spy x Family Code: White is bringing the Forger family to Singapore. The highly-anticipated anime film will release on 8 February 2024 in local theatres, coinciding with the Lunar New Year period.

Distributor Encore Films announced the news on their social media channels, alongside the official movie poster with a tagline that reads, “Survive family vacation. Save the world.” More information, such as pricing (tickets for anime films tend to cost more) and screening availability, is expected to drop nearer to the date.

First announced in 2022, Spy x Family Code: White will be an all-new work with an original story following the Forger family’s vacation in the Frigis region. It debuted in Japan on 22 December, and features the theme song SOULSOUP” by Official HIGE DANdism, who also performed the first opening theme song for the anime’s first season titled “Mixed Nuts”.

Series creator and film supervisor Tatsuya Endō is credited with the original work and original character designs for the animated feature. Takashi Katagiri serves as director, while Ichiro Okouchi wrote the screenplay. Wit Studio and CloverWorks returned to produce, with the voice actor cast of the anime reprising their roles.

“After receiving an order to be replaced in Operation Strix, Loid decides to help Anya win a cooking competition at Eden Academy by making the principal’s favorite meal in order to prevent his replacement,” reads the synopsis forSpy x Family Code: White. “The Forgers decide to travel to the meal’s origin region, where they set off a chain of actions which could potentially put world peace at risk.”

The series concluded Season 2 of its anime last December, and more recently, joined forces with Capcom for Spy x Family and Street Fighter 6 collaboration. It kicked off earlier this month, releasing an epic crossover trailer that pit Yor against Chun-Li in a flashy, stylish fight sequence.
