Before My Hero Academia and Chainsaw Man — The Move: Reze Arc, Kenshi Yonezu already took the Japanese music scene by storm with 2018’s “Lemon”, the theme song for TBS drama Unnatural, which topped the country’s Billboard year-end chart for two consecutive years.

After a live debut in the U.S., Europe, and Korea last year, the musician, songwriter, producer and illustrator is adding more stops to his next world tour, including Singapore. Coming after last year’s world tour, titled “Junk”, Kenshi Yonezu 2026-2027 World Tour / Ghost will make its way to the city-state, the only one in Southeast Asia, before visiting Western territories. The local show is scheduled for 29 January 2027 at Singapore Indoor Stadium, joining Seoul as the other Asian stop, with general ticket sales for all dates opening on 22 October at 12pm local time.

Alongside “Lemon,” Yonezu is known for his contributions to several popular anime series, including “Iris Out” for Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc, “Kick Back” (Chainsaw Man), “Peace Sign” (My Hero Academia), and “Plazma” (Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning). “Iris Out” is arguably the most prolific work among genre fans, becoming the fastest song in Billboard JAPAN history to reach 100 million streams and No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200, the highest-ever position for a Japanese-language song. The ending track for Reze Arc, “Jane Doe”, also marks a first-time collaboration between the 35-year-old and Hikaru Utada of Kingdom Hearts fame; previously, the former performed “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing” for another Square Enix title, Final Fantasy XVI.
