In the late actor’s honour, The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films is introducing the Lance Reddick Legacy Award. This new award, as described by Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus in a statement, is meant to recognise not only artistic talent but also the character and ambassadorship within the industry.

The inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award will be presented to Keanu Reeves, a close friend and colleague of Reddick in the John Wick series. Keanu Reeves, known for his diverse roles in genres spanning science fiction, fantasy, and horror, embodies the spirit of the award. His career includes iconic roles in films like The Matrix Trilogy, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Constantine, Dracula, and many more.
