The He-Man community just keep on winning. Following the Season 2 premiere of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe back in March, Netflix is bringing fans of the 3D-animated series back into the world of Eternia on 18 August, with the trailer for its third season making a debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2022.
The video offers a look at the rising stakes in the war against Skeletor, where King Grayskull is forced to use desperate attempts to fight the villian’s army of zombies. In doing so, he inadvertently crosses a line, and ends up jeopardising his position. Krass, on the other front, is hard-pressed to fight her former friends, while Eldress is set to return, which sets the finale up for an epic, all-out confrontation with Skeletor’s ultimate threat.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is developed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ Robert David, with its voice cast featuring Yuri Lowenthal as He-Man/Adam, Stephen Fry as Man-E-Faces, David Kaye as Cringer/Battle Cat, Grey Griffin as Evelyn/Evil-Lyn, Antony Del Rio as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Kimberly Brooks as Teela/Eldress/Sorceress, and more.
Joining the series on Netflix soon is 2D counterpart Masters of the Universe: Revolution, the sequel to 2021’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation. A live-action take on the franchise is also in the works, finding its He-Man in the form of West Side Story‘s Kyle Allen after choice pick Noah Centineo departed from the project.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will be available for streaming on 18 August.
