Stop us if you’ve heard this one: a demo version for the remake of Resident Evil 3 has been confirmed before the game’s official release! This was confirmed by the official Twitter account for the game, stating that the RE3 demo “is on the way”.
While we don’t yet have a launch date yet for the demo, one could imagine it to play out like the 30-minute “One-Shot Demo” that came out for Resident Evil 2 last year. In that demo, players only had exactly half an hour of playtime as Leon, after which the demo would no longer be playable, and leaving a new trailer in its wake.
Given the immense success of the One-Shot Demo last year, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to expect Capcom to pull of something similar, especially given how popular Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira are among the fanbase.
What a great time to be a Resident Evil fan, huh? First the bomb that a playable demo will be out in a couple of weeks, after a massive leak on the Netflix series of the same name.
Resident Evil 3 releases on 3 April 2020.
