‘Dragon’s Dogma 2′ Sells 2.5 Million Copies In Just 11 Days

Dragon’s Dogma 2 broke records at launch on Steam, being the largest single-player Capcom game at launch with more than 200,000 concurrent players. And now, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is going for another record achievement, beating out its predecessor and selling 2.5 million copies in just 11 days.

The original game hit the 1 million mark after a month of its release, putting its sequel far ahead of it as the numbers continue to climb. The franchise in total has sold more than 10 million copies to date, confirmed Capcom. While facing backlash over a micro-transaction controversy and minor performance issues, Dragon’s Dogma 2 still manages to attract more players.

Capcom released a survey to the playerbase about a potential DLC and pricing range, suggesting that a DLC is in the works for the game, though it hasn’t been officially announced. Given the game’s success, player’s can expect a potential DLC to arrive in the coming months.

A planned update will also take place soon, which includes performance fixes and the option to start a new game when save data already exists, something that is unique to the second game. With Dragon’s Dogma 2 hitting the 2.5 million mark, there’s plenty in store for the game, which will be revealed in the coming months.
