Redmagic 8S Pro Gaming Test — Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, COD: Mobile & PUBG

The Redmagic 8 Pro is packed to the brim with over-the-top gaming features, so it only makes sense that its successor, the Redmagic 8S Pro, will continue in the same vein. Adopting an identical design language to the former, it doesn’t seek an aesthetic overhaul and instead focuses on breaking the boundaries of on-the-go gaming yet again, one marginal improvement at a time.

Essentially, the device is everything that its predecessor is — and then some. Like before, there’s the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, but it’s now overclocked, which pushes performance to even greater heights. It also comes equipped with an Adreno 740 GPU, 12GB / 16GB of RAM, 256GB / 512GB storage, and 6,000mAh battery, alongside a 6.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED display.

All that beastly power made short work of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Call of Duty: Mobile, and PUBG Mobile, where the Redmagic 8S Pro displayed blazing fast speeds, great detail, and excellent cooling capabilities. At its hottest, the phone clocked a 33-degree temperature average, which is nothing short of impressive.
