We got wind that the upcoming Black Adam movie has added a new actress to their list and its none other than the sound Quintessa Swindell. The Trinkets actress will be playing Cyclone in the anticipated DC Movie.
Cyclone is a junior member of the Justice Society with the power to manipulate wind and sound. She made her debut in the pages of DC’s relaunched Justice Society of America series in 2006. Introduced as Maxine Hunkell -the granddaughter of the original Red Tornado – Hunkell was later invited to join the Justice Society after discovering her wind-manipulation abilities.
Cyclone, alongside Hawkman (played by Aldis Hodge) and Atom Smasher (Noah Centino), will be playing opposite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s Black Adam. Sarah Shahi will play an unnamed freedom fighter in Kahndaq.
Swindell is best-known for her role in Netflix’s Trinkets and HBO’s In Treatment which is currently in filming together with Orange Is The New Black‘s Uzo Aduba. Swindell also briefly acted in HBO’s Euphoria.
The upcoming Black Adam movie is said to introduce the audience to the Justice Society of America, an early and classic rendition of today’s DC Comics icons from the Golden Age of comic books back in the post World War 2 era.
Black Adam was also revealed to have a December 2021 release date, though that is unlikely given the huge shifts in the movie industry due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
