Dwayne Johnson Suits Up For Battle In Black Adam Costume Reveal

As we get hyped up for the DC FanDome happening this weekend, one major movie announcement fans are super excited about is the upcoming Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock. In a new sneak peek at the upcoming superhero film, Johnson unveiled his DC Superhero costume via his Instagram (@therock) on Friday ahead of the DC FanDome panel.

In what was literally a split second reveal, we get to catch a glimpse of the battle-ready hero all suited up for his official debut.

“The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. Black Adam arrives tomorrow at #DCFanDome. Personally, I salute my Warner Bros and DC partners for creating this historic opportunity for fans to absorb our entire DC universe while we all continue to manage the challenges of COVID. Well done. The man in black is coming to crush them all.”

Johnson was originally considered for the role of Black Adam as the villain in Shazam!. However, the plan fell through. Instead, Black Adam will be an anti-hero movie that is a spin-off of the 2019 film.

Helming the project will be Jaume Collet-Serr who previously worked with Johnson on Disney’s Jungle Cruise. The movie has been cleared to shoot in Georgia starting early next year. Stay tuned to find out more as we will be covering the Black Adam DC FanDome panel happening tomorrow, 23 August 2020 at 6:10am SGT.

The Black Adam film itself is slated to debut on 22 December 2021.
