Aldis Hodge Soaring In To Play Hawkman Alongside Dwayne Johnson In Black Adam

Swooping into DC’s Black Adam cast will be Aldis Hodge who has landed the role as Hawkman, the leader of the Justice Society of America(JSA).

The actor has had some high-flying roles in the past, starring James Lanier in The Invisible Man, Levi Jackson in 2016’s Hidden Figures, and winning acclaim for his performance as Jim Brown in One Night in Miami. And it seems that Black Adam’s headliner, Dwayne Johnson (@therock) took it upon himself to personally congratulate Hodge on his role.

Hawkman first appeared in 1940’s Flash Comics No. 1, as a reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian prince Khufu, one of a pair of lovers from Ancient Egypt destined to constantly be reincarnated.

In addition to Hodge, the current lineup Black Adam includes Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, another JSA member and Johnson as the titular anti-hero. The film is due to begin production later this year or in spring of 2021 and is slated to premiere on 21 December 2021 for now.
