No Ocean’s adventure would be complete without a villain, and it seems like Warner Bros. has found the next fit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Narcos star Wagner Moura is in talks to join Margot Robbie and Bradley in the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven, which serves as a prequel film.

Character details are being kept under wraps, but the actor is expected to play the story’s big bad, while the latter pair are presumedly stepping into the role of franchise protagonist Danny Ocean’s parents. If the deal goes through, Moura will join the ranks of Andy Garcia (The Godfather III), Vincent Cassel (Jason Bourne), and Al Pacino (The Godfather) as antagonists in past instalments.
Both Robbie and Bradley are producing, with the latter also directing and writing. Shooting is set to begin in late July, and while story specifics are under lock and key, Robbie previously dropped a vague idea of what to expect at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas:
“Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows… his parents. You’ll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.”
The Ocean’s 11 prequel will be the first entry in the line-up since Ocean’s 8 in 2018, led by Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, and is dated for release on 25 June 2027. The 1960 original starred Rat Pack members Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Dean Martin, while the Steven Soderbergh-directed Ocean’s Eleven — led by George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts — spawned two sequels.

The latter crew is getting a reunion in Ocean’s 14, which sees Soderbergh back at the helm and currently has no release date. It follows an older but wiser quintet, with Clooney explaining, “There was something about the idea that we’re too old to do what we used to do, but we’re still smart enough to know how to get away with something, that just appeals to me. They’ve lost a step, and they need to find a way to work around their limitations.”
