‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Trailer Sees Mark Ruffalo Unleash Savage Hulk

Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has received a new trailer, which not only shows off more of Spidey’s misadventures as he steadily loses control of his powers, but also sees Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner and unleashing Savage Hulk.

The latest trailer sees Tom Holland’s Peter Parker living alone after erasing the memories of himself from the lives of those around him, including his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and love interest MJ (Zendaya). Things soon take a turn for the worse as Peter slowly begins to lose control of his powers, with webs shooting straight out of his body without warning.

Enter Bruce Banner, who has now learned to control his inner Hulk thanks to a device he wears on his wrist, leading Peter to seek him out to find a way to suppress his own powers. Of course, errant powers aren’t the only thing Spidey has to face here, as the city is also under threat from a mysterious foe with mind-control powers, seemingly leading to a climactic battle between the web-slinger and Savage Hulk, one of the most uncontrollable alter egos of Bruce that’s driven by pure rage.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), with a screenplay from Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes, with its producers including Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Rachel O’Connor. Apart from its main cast, the film will also see the return of familiar faces such as Jon Bernthal as The Punisher and Michael Mando as Scorpion, alongside Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will swing into theatres on 31 July 2026.
