Inside Xbox: Project XCloud, Atlas, And More For October

Just hours after Sony’s State of Play, Microsoft live-streamed Inside Xbox, a semi-regular video presentation of the latest game releases, services and updates to both their hardware and software.

Project XCloud Public Preview

One of the biggest announcements from September’s Inside Xbox is Project XCloud. This is a new platform for Microsoft, where players will be able to play console games on their mobile devices via streaming.

Project XCloud will finally be having public previews in October and if you’re in the United States, United Kingdom or South Korea, you can sign up to be selected as one of the first few people in the world to try this out. Halo 5: Guardians, Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, and Killer Instinct will be the four games available in the preview and you need a wireless Xbox One controller and an Android phone to try it.

Shiver Me Timbers, It’s Atlas

Atlas, the online pirate multiplayer RPG is coming to Xbox One on October 8. In this massive sandbox, players can expect creative freedom in how they want to play, whether it’s conquering the seven seas, hunting mythical creatures or settling down on a cosy island and expanding your own pirate hideout.

Released for Early Access on Steam, the game is set to exactly the same on both Xbox and PC. With every new update or content launch, players on both platforms can expect to get those simultaneously. Both players will also be able to play together in the same world across all the various servers.

Try not to get scurvy!

Out-Drink The Devil In Afterparty

Play as two recently deceased best friends, Milo and Lola, in this quirky pub crawl through Hell. Stepping into hell, these college students learn that if they could out-party the Devil, they can return to their bodies alive. But they’ll have to work their way up to the top.

From the creators of Oxenfree, Afterparty is similar in the sense that it is mostly driven by the narrative and the choices made during conversations. However, drinking is such an integral part of the game that your drink choices will affect your conversation choices. So choose wisely. Afterparty will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Mac on October 29.
