For those who have been hungry for more on the G.I. Joe spinoff movie, Snake Eyes, here’s a bone for you: the movie is already undergoing production!
The cast and crew of Snake Eyes recently posted a picture of them while filming in Japan, and things are looking good as far as we can tell.
Henry Golding as the titular silent protagonist is smack in the middle, accompanied by his co-stars Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Takehiro Hira, and director Robert Schwentke.
Other stars joining the Crazy Rich Asians alum are Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not) and Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist), both of whom weren’t present in the above still, which indicates their parts could be shot elsewhere.
While we still have yet to see an actual trailer by Paramount Pictures, we do know that the premise of Snake Eyes will serve as the origin story for the titular member of the G.I. Joe Team.
In any case, it looks as though Snake Eyes is still set for an October 16, 2020 release.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
