Chase And Score Goals In ‘Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’; Testing Signups Now Open

Fans of Hogwarts Legacy can get excited once more as Warner Bros. has announced a “standalone Quidditch experience” titled Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. Not to mention that playtest signups are now open!

Quidditch Champions will let fans take to the skies with the Wizarding World’s favourite sport and “other broomstick adventures alongside friends in a competitive, multiplayer setting”– though flying solo is also an option. Players will also get the chance to customise their characters to their heart’s desire.

The game has been in development for years at Unbroken Studios– also working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Warner Bros. Games teased a fresh, immersive experience and, alongside Portkey Games— the publisher of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions–released a statement about the game’s connection to the Harry Potter franchise.

“While Portkey Games are not direct adaptations of the books and films, the games are firmly rooted in the magical universe of the Wizarding World. While remaining true to J.K. Rowling’s original vision, Portkey game developers chart new territory by creating fresh ways for fans to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World.”

A release date of 5 May— for Xbox One and PS4–and 25 July— for Nintendo Switch– has been announced.

Playtests will begin on 21 April and requires a constant internet connection to play– hence why the call for playtesting. The official Quidditch Champions website is the place to go to be the first in line, and the game’s Discord server for more information.
