Teased at the end of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, Captain Marvel is finally making her on-screen debut. The film follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S air force pilot as she grows to become one of the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers’ journey is not just an action-packed period piece in space, but also one of self-discovery as we see her humanity come to the forefront of many scenes, making her relatable to audiences. This is thanks to the brilliance of the directorial duo of Anna Boden, the first female director for a Marvel film, and her longtime work partner, Ryan Fleck. too.
