First Looks At The LEGO x Adidas ZX 8000 Sneaker: The Box Looks Much Better Than The Shoe

Arguably one of the most-hyped sneaker releases of 2020 is the one between LEGO and Adidas. Recently, the German sportswear and fashion giant teased the LEGO x Adidas ZX 8000 sneaker inspired by the iconic bricks, as part of its new A-ZX project. The short clip featured the new silhouettes peeping out of a box shaped exactly like a LEGO brick, with a super cool brick interior.

Recently, streetwear blog Highsnobiety did a full unboxing of the LEGO x Adidas ZX 8000, revealing the sneaker in full. The folks admitted that the LEGO-shaped box isn’t for commercial release, and is only for marketing purposes. We imagine the fully-released shoe will come in a more standard packaging.

The sneaker itself features vibrant hits of red, green, blue and red on its mostly white-and-grey upper, resembling the most commonly-used LEGO bricks. Most of the upper uses what looks to be a soft mesh material, which means it should be comfortable and breathable on foot.

LEGO studs and branding can be found on the blue heel counter as well as the red lace cages, while the lace deubres feature LEGO bricks as well. The LEGO branding can be found on the tongue and insoles, and the outsole resembles red LEGO bricks from afar, as if you were literally walking on them (and maybe not actually injuring your feet in the process this time).

If the super vibrant LEGO x Adidas ZX 8000s are your cup of tea, you can expect to snag a pair when it releases sometime later in September.
