UPDATE: LEGO recently dropped a teaser trailer for the new Adidas ZX “LEGO” colourway. Check it out below!
It appears that sneakerheads might be getting quite the treat from Adidas later this year, as we’ve heard that it has plans on doing a new collaboration with LEGO for some sick brick-inspired kicks.
According to Complex, the Adidas x LEGO collaboration will be part of the A-ZX retro sneaker line, which is the sportswear brand’s alphabetically-themed silhouettes. And rightfully so, LEGO takes up the “L” section of the lineup.
At the time of writing, this collaboration hasn’t been confirmed yet, but from what we can see in the official Adidas website the “L” seems to adopt a nice blend of red, blue, green, yellow, white, and black — colours that are commonly found in standard LEGO bricks.
The closest thing a sneaker brand did to a LEGO-themed sneaker was the Nike SB Dunk Low “LEGO” colourway by BespokeIND back in 2019 (below, via High Snobiety).
If the Adidas x LEGO ZX collaboration is indeed true, then we can expect something similar to the Dunks above.
