Following the evolution of the Kanto starters into LEGO sets, the Pokémon collection has only continued to grow. Next month marks the arrival of 12 more builds, and a new, wild trio is set to appear soon. Arcanine, Rayquaza, and Munchlax will be at the front and centre of the upcoming lineup, joining several familiar faces that include Trainer Red and Professor Oak.

Coming in at 1,083 pieces, Lego Pokémon Rayquaza (72168) recreates the iconic Sky Pillar scene from the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remake games, where the confrontation against the Legendary critter takes place. It measures 38cm high, 28cm wide, and 27cm, and comes with an exclusive Zinnia minifigure on the side. Expect to fork over US$129.99 when it launches on 1 August.
Also available from 1 August is Lego Pokémon Arcanine (72160), which serves as a 1,190-piece tribute to one of the most beloved Fire-type Pokémon. Designed with its “fiery spirit, powerful stance, and signature fur” in mind, it features posable elements and will retail for US$109.99. When built, the display stands at 17cm tall.

Rounding out the latest Pokémon range, the 757-piece Lego Pokémon Munchlax (72150) pairs the “charming, playful personality” of the beloved fan-favourite with arms and head articulation. The treats are a nod to its insatiable appetite, with the set priced at US$69.99 starting 1 August.
As for their human-focused counterparts, the Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (40868) showcases the legendary trainer in his signature red hat, blue trousers, backpack, a pin-attached red vest, and a Poké Ball in hand. Topped off with a rotating head and posable limbs, the 930-piece build will be available at US$79.99 from 1 October.

The highlight, however, is Lego Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154). With 2,368 pieces, it includes a large brick-built Poké Ball that can be opened and closed, comprising key moments from various trainer journeys. In addition to a battle scene and Professor Oak’s laboratory, fans can look forward to three minifigures of Professor Oak, Red, and a Pinicker, as well as first-of-their-kind Pikachu and Eevee figures.
Gotta build ’em all, indeed.
