For those who are upgrading their console gaming space with the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S this November, here’s another reason to get excited for Microsoft’s 4th iteration of its flagship console. EA Play is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on 10 November itself, which coincides with the launch of the Xbox Series X.
This means, right out of the bat, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get to enjoy EA’s extensive library of games, including Star Wars Battlefront II, FIFA, Mass Effect, and The Sims 4. Just note that regular Xbox Game Pass subscribers will not be entitled to EA Play
In addition to that, Microsoft outlined several new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass on the Xbox One (and the Xbox Series X by extension), PC, and Android mobile devices starting 1 October. This first wave of games, as well as subsequent ones, will include games from the newly-acquired Bethesda Game Studios, which in itself also boasts a sizeable number of AAA games.
Here’s what subscribers can look forward to adding to their gaming backlogs over the next few weeks:
- Doom Eternal (Android, Consoles) – 1 October
- Drake Hollow (PC) – 1 October
- Brütal Legend (Consoles, PC) – 8 October
- Forza Motorsport 7 (Android, Consoles, PC) – 8 October
- Ikenfell (Consoles, PC) – 8 October

Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
