Just when we thought it was going to be a relatively slow year for Marvel Studios, Disney+ just dropped the bomb on New Year’s Day that WandaVision will be dropping sometime later this year, instead of its initial 2021 release.
The Marvel Studios queue for 2020 was initially only going to be two movies (Black Widow and The Eternals) and one Disney+ show (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). With the inclusion of WandaVision, fans will have a whopping four Marvel shows to be looking forward to this year.
If you don’t already know, WandaVision‘s initial slated release of 2021 was to make clear that it was a direct tie-in to the upcoming Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

It being pushed to later this year (we’re thinking Holiday 2020) could be that Marvel and Disney might have plans to launch some surprise new title that we don’t yet know about, or something along that line.
Additionally, if we stick to the speculative Holiday 2020 release, Disney+ fans in general will be pleased to know that they’ll have a host of shows to binge in the latter half of the year, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Season 2 of The Mandalorian all slated to release at that time.
All in due time.

Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
