Nicolas Cage is stepping back into the world of superheroes with Amazon MGM+ and Prime Video‘s live-action series Spider-Noir, and the cast continues to expand with Amy Aquino and Andrew Robinson signing on for recurring roles, per Deadline. Aquino, best known for her role as Lt. Grace Billets in Bosch (2014-2021), has appeared in projects like Being Human (2008-2013), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), and Juror #2 (2024). Robinson, a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999) veteran, has largely stepped away from acting in recent years but recently voiced his classic character Elim Garak in an episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks (2021-2024).
Details about their characters remain under wraps, but they join a cast led by Cage as an aging private investigator forced to confront his past as New York’s only superhero in the 1930s. This marks Cage’s return to the role of Spider-Man Noir after voicing the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and its sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). However, the live-action version will be distinct from the animated incarnation that has already won over audiences, focusing on a more grounded take on the character as he navigates the dangerous underworld of New York while wrestling with personal demons.

Joining Cage are Lamorne Morris (New Girl) as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) as a mob boss, Abraham Popoola (The Rig) as a World War I veteran, Li Jun Li (Babylon) as a nightclub singer, and Jack Huston (Ben-Hur) as a bodyguard. Aquino and Robinson will be joined in recurring roles by Lukas Haas (Witness), Cameron Britton (Mindhunter), Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives), Michael Kostroff (The Wire), Scott MacArthur (The Mick), Joe Massingill (Barry), Whitney Rice (Jury Duty), Amanda Schull (Suits), and Andrew Lewis Caldwell (The Matrix Resurrections).
Steve Lightfoot, known for his work on The Punisher (2017-2019), developed the show and serves as co-showrunner alongside Oren Uziel (Mortal Kombat), who is leading the writing team. Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the producers behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, are also on board as executive producers. The series is set to be part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which has already introduced audiences to characters like Venom and Kraven the Hunter.
The rollout plan for Spider-Noir includes a debut on MGM+ before a wider release on Prime Video.
