While we’re eagerly awaiting the (delayed) theatrical release of Fast & Furious 9, here’s something fans of the franchise can look forward to: Fast & Furious Crossroads.
First revealed at The Game Awards 2019, this action racing title aims to expand the Fast & Furious universe with “team-based vehicular heist action”, similar to what we’ve grown to love in the movies. Players will take part in a series of heist races, with access to a variety of gadgets, in an all-new story.
A “revolutionary three-way multiplayer” mode is also part of the game, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
The likes of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson will be reprising their roles as Dom, Letty and Roman respectively. Joining the trio will be Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery, The Walking Dead) and Asia Kate Dillon (Billions, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum) in an “action-packed adventure set across stunning global locations”, including the likes of Barcelona, Athens, and Morocco.
Fast & Furious Crossroads will launch on 7 August for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
