ASUS Brings Native 4K 120Hz Gaming To New 43-inch ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition Monitor

With the arrival of next-gen technology comes evolved, enhanced gameplay, and ASUS isn’t about to let its audience miss out on that experience. Courtesy of a collaboration with Xbox, the company has announced the ROG Strix XG43UQ Gaming Monitor that boasts features specifically catered to fans of Microsoft’s latest console.

The 43-inch display will enable native 4K gaming without chroma subsampling on the Xbox Series X via HDMI 2.1, alongside a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for Xbox Series X|S. A built-in Xbox mode has also been included to deliver the most optimal colour, contrast, and hue settings, with the HDR Gaming Interest Group (HGiG) profile bringing additional HDR support.

Despite the focus on the Xbox market, the monitor can be used for PC gaming as well. Sporting 4K resolution at 144Hz via DisplayPort 1.4, it pairs AMD FreeSync Premium technology with Extreme Low Motion Blue Sync (ELMB Sync) for sharper, smoother visuals and reduced ghosting and screen-tearing at higher frame rates.

Other notable features include a maximum brightness level of 1000 nits – more than three times that of OLED TVs – an Auto-Low-Latency feature, anti-glare technology, and a diverse port selection. On top of the USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1 and 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and audio line-in options, a bundled remote control has been packed in for easier access and adjustment of display settings.

Pre-order for the ROG Strix XG43UQ Gaming Monitor will run from 1 July to 31 July 2021 at a special promotional price of S$1,999 (U.P S$2,199), with the order fulfilment period dated from September 2021 onward.
