Nintendo’s latest wave of Switch 2 price hikes is about to take effect on our shores, with prices of the hybrid console in Singapore and Malaysia set to increase from 1 September 2026.

This new wave of adjustments follow the previous round of announcements surrounding the prices of the Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States and the United Kingdom, which is also set to take into effect on 1 September and see price bumps to US$499.99 and £419.99, respectively. Singapore and Malaysia mark the first countries in Southeast Asia to receive updated pricings, while the details for other regions like Thailand or the Philippines have yet to be announced for now.
Here’s the list of all currently-announced price changes for the Nintendo Switch 2:
| Region | Old Price | New Price | Date of Effect |
| Singapore | S$719 | S$799 | 1 Sept 2026 |
| Malaysia | MYR 2,288 | MYR 2,558 | 1 Sept 2026 |
| Japan (Domestic model) | ¥49,980 | ¥59,980 | 25 May 2026 |
| United States | US$449.99 | US$499.99 | 1 Sept 2026 |
| Canada | $629.99 CAD | $679.99 CAD | 1 Sept 2026 |
| United Kingdom | £395.99 | £419.99 | 1 Sept 2026 |
| Europe | €469.99 | €499.99 | 1 Sept 2026 |
With this latest round of price hikes, the cost of a Nintendo Switch in Singapore will rise by S$80, while units in Malaysia will see a bump of RM$270 (roughly S$85). This global rollout of price hikes follows the initial wave in May 2026, which saw the price increase of all Switch models – including the original console and its Lite and OLED variants – in Japan. Nintendo had previously explained that the decision was made “in light of changes in market conditions and after considering the global outlook,” although the specific reason likely stems from the rising costs and shortage of memory components.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will see its prices rising in Singapore and Malaysia, alongside the US and UK, from 1 September 2026.
