‘Reacher’ Star Alan Ritchson Inks Movie Deal With Amazon Studios

Alan Ritchson did such a good job on Reacher, that Amazon renewed the series for a second season just three days after it premiered.

The series became the five most-watched series ever globally, that Amazon knew they had to keep their grasp on the actor, filmmaker and singer for more projects. Hence, the tech giant has managed to ink a deal with Ritchson, where he will appear in three films from the studio.

Reacher has exceeded our wildest expectations, and Alan’s captivating performance has played a huge role in the show’s success,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios. “We could not be more thrilled to continue growing our relationship and to share what are sure to be more brilliant performances with our global Prime Video audience.”

Ritchson made his acting debut as Aquaman/Arthur Curry on The CW superhero series Smallville, where he appeared as a guest star between the fifth and tenth seasons. He’s also appeared throughout the CWverse in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

Outside of his DC roles, fans know him from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Hunger Games and Tree House Time Machine.
