Ahsoka Tano Live-Action Star Wars Disney+ Series Might Actually Be In The Works

Yup, you heard right — it looks as though a certain Force-user might finally be getting the solo gig we’ve all been dreaming for. And after the recent series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, how can one not expect an Ahsoka Tano series to come to fruition?

Surely not Disney and Lucasfilm, as this will no doubt be an opportunity to give fans a deeper insight into one of the Star Wars franchise’s most beloved characters outside of the main films.

As it turns out, a live-action Disney+ series centred around Ahsoka Tano may be in development, according to Fandom Wire (via CBR). The report states that the new series will take place after the events of Star Wars Rebels. Just to catch you up a bit, that’s when Ahsoka decides to search for the Padawan Ezra Bridger, who went missing some time during the series.

How exactly this will play out remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see just where this particular show fits in the former Jedi’s timeline, as she will also be making her live-action debut on Season 2 of The Mandalorian later this year, portayed by Rosario Dawson. Speaking of which, though Dawson herself hasn’t spoken about this show in particular, it wouldn’t be far off to assume that she could also be cast in this live-action solo series.

And looking at the larger picture, it seems more characters from the Rebels and Clone Wars animated series may be coming to The Mandalorian, most especially two Mandalorians, Sabine Wren and Bo-Katan Kryze.

It definitely seems the love for both animated shows is not lost, as the creatives at Disney and Lucasfilm are finding ways to do these beloved characters justice.
