After Castlevania, Capcom’s Devil May Cry Is Next For Producer Adi Shankar

In an interview with IGN, executive producer of Netflix’s Castlevania Adi Shankar has confirmed that an animated series based on Capcom’s Devil May Cry is in the works.

According to Shankar, the new adaptation will “will join Castlevania in what we’re now calling the bootleg multiverse.” Although details are still scarce on the story, characters and the like, the producer also revealed that he “acquired these (Devil May Cry) rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don’t f*** this one up too.”

“Castlevania really over-performed. It did crazy well. We immediately got greenlit for Season 3. I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the fans.”

The success of Netflix’s Castlevania and the subsequent fanfare over his next project certainly bodes well for Shankar’s next project, and as fans we cannot wait to hear more about what he’s going to do next with the popular game franchise. There is also no information which network/streaming service the Devil May Cry adaptation will be on, so stay tuned!

Devil May Cry 5 will grace the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8, 2019.
