After a surprise announcement last week about a Nintendo Direct-like reveal event, Sony PlayStation followed through with their first-ever State of Play event today.
Not only were there new games showed off, especially for PlayStation VR, but we also got more release dates for familiar titles. Here is a recap of what was revealed:
Days Gone
We had a good time with Bend Studio’s upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, recently, and with a confirmed release date of April 26, Sony showed off the first story trailer.
Mortal Kombat 11
We also got a look at NetherRealm’s upcoming brawler, Mortal Kombat 11. If you are interested in trying the beta, we have got you covered!
Iron Man VR
Fancy being Tony Stark and flying through the sky and blasting fools? Now you can with the power of Marvel and PlayStation VR.
No Man Sky: Beyond
The once panned space sim has been getting better with each update, and the upcoming Beyond update will bring with it significant content, including VR.
Concrete Genie
We last saw Concrete Genie at TGS 2018, and it has been pretty quiet thus far for the adorable title. Now, it has a Fall 2019 release date for fans to look forward to!
Ready Set Heroes
A new multiplayer dungeon crawler, Ready Set Heroes will come later in 2019.
Blood and Truth
The highly anticipated British crime shooter will finally hit PSVR on May 28!
PlayStation VR in Spring & Summer
For the rest of 2019, gamers can also look forward to a glut of PSVR games that will bound to pique some interest:
- Minimech
- Jupiter and Mars
- Trover Saves the Universe
- Everybody’s Golf VR
- Table of Tales
- Vacation Simulator
- Observation
- Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted
Precise, succinct, and packed with information, we can look forward to even more State of Plays as PlayStation appears to be embracing a new form of messaging for its fans!
