The Man Without Fear has yet to make his return on the small screen, but it’s already looking bright. Ahead of its Season 2 premiere, Daredevil: Born Again has been renewed for a third season, set to begin shooting in 2026.
Speaking to IGN, Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television and animation at Marvel Studios, revealed that “we are greenlit for Season 3, and we start shooting next year,” clearing up confusion and speculation about the show’s future.
Previously, lead actor Charlie Cox remarked at a GalaxyCon panel in July that the sophomore outing would mark the “final season”. Co-star Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays crime lord Wilson Fisk in the series, subsequently shared on social media that “good chance there will be a third [season].” As it turns out, the stars have aligned.
The renewal puts Daredevil: Born Again as the first live-action series produced by Marvel Studios to land a third season, after it became the first Netflix-Marvel show to get a new but continued series under Disney+ and Marvel Studios. First announced in February, Season 2 is expected to pick up after the cliffhanger of the first season that saw the Man Without Fear going underground and reaching out to allies in his battle against Fisk, who has aggressively consolidated power, and his anti-vigilante task force.
While full details about the project remain under wraps, Krysten Ritter will be back on the case as Jessica Jones, reprising her role from the eponymous three-season show, which ran from 2015 to 2019 on Netflix. Dario Scardapane serves as executive producer and showrunner on Daredevil: Born Again, with episodes directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Christopher Ord and Matthew Corman, as well as Benson and Moorhead, are executive producers.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is slated to air sometime in 2026, while Season 3 has no release date.
