Card-based games have only gotten bigger over the years, and one of gaming’s most revered minds is taking a swing at the genre as well. If you did not already know, Yoko Taro, the man behind the Drakengard and NieR series, together with Square Enix, have been hard at work on their own card-based roleplaying game. As of today, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is now available on consoles and PC.
In Yoko Taro’s latest project, players will have the opportunity to explore a unique way storytelling experience, set long ago in a world of swords and sorcery. In typical fantasy fashion, our hero is on his way to slay a newly awakened Dragon for an immense reward, and it is up to you to help him.
This will unfold in a series of turn-based field and dungeon battles, all played out like a tabletop RPG.
