Westworld will finally be returning with its third season on March 15, 2020, according to the HBO Asia’s official Facebook account.
Along with the reveal of the third season’s release date is a short video teasing the various events that will take place in the show and some hit a little to close to our current world events, such as the ecological collapse in May 2020 (Just look at Australia’s devastating bushfire, and Philippines’ Taal Volcano eruption). It then skips forward to show us when the show will be set, the year 2058.
According to the news release from HBO, the third season will be “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth.”
Thandie Newton (Maeve), Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores), Jeffrey Wright (Bernard), and Ed Harries (the Man in Black) will all be returning for season three.
Joining them will be Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as Caleb, a construction working with a robot co-worker named George.
