Universal Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World To Open In Spring 2021

Universal Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World expansion was initially supposed to open in summer 2020 but ended up getting delayed along with the Tokyo Olympics following the global health crisis.

The park was delayed indefinitely, though fans still got periodic updates about the expansion from videos posted on social media. Now, after a long wait, USJ has finally given us a date for when we can expect Super Nintendo World to open, Spring 2021.

In its tweet announcing the news, USJ added artist impressions of what park guests can look forward to. What’s more, there will also be a sneak peek of the park happening on 16 October, where a Mario cafe and store will open in USJ’s pre-existing Hollywood area.

The cafe will carry strong Super Mario motifs, including a range of themed food and drinks. Such as adorable looking fruity Mario and Luigi caps.

Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach fruit cream sodas will also be available.

Or if you are looking for something more souvenir-like to bring home, there is the Super Mushroom that can hold your soft drink of choice and also comes with a carry strap to make it easier for you to lug it around the park.

With Japan looking to open its borders to holidaying tourists sometime in April 2021 (via Soranews24), it seems like it’ll be just in time for the opening of Super Nintendo World in Spring 2021.
