Uncharted Looks Ready To Resume Filming With Set Photo From Tom Holland

Sony’s Uncharted was a movie plagued with numerous setbacks and delays, with multiple directors coming and going, as well as the production being put on hold not long after it started due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But it seems, at long last, that the film is finally ready to resume filming once again.

News of this came from none other than the movie’s lead actor Tom Holland who plays a younger Nathan Drake. Holland has taken to Instagram to share a set photo featuring his chair with the words “Nate” printed on it. His caption was simple, yet effective: “Day one #Uncharted.”

Though this does not mean that filming has officially started for the long-overdue video game adaptation as the director and crew of the film are still prepping for production (via Movieweb). We can only hope that the film finally gets back on track soon with no new obstacles getting in its way.

Uncharted stars Holland alongside Mark Wahlberg who plays Drake’s mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan. The film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom) with a script from Iron Man’s Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Uncharted is slated to open in theatres on 16 July 2021.
