Ubisoft Might Have Teased The Setting Of Next Assassin’s Creed In The Division 2

An easter egg in The Division 2 might have just given fans a reason to believe that the next Assassin’s Creed game might possibly be in a Viking setting.

Discovered by wiki user AlifMorrisonudin, he posted a photo of a poster he came across in game which featured a solder that looks to be holding the Apple of Eden, one of the artefacts in the Assassin’s Creed series. The title of the poster spells out ‘Valhalla’, the name of the great hall in Norse mythology where heroes who were slain in battle go to. Aside from that, the soldier in the poster also seemed to be wearing a Norse-style helmet.

Those who might be thinking that this sounds a little far fetched should know that Ubisoft has placed easter eggs teasing upcoming games in The Division before, so this honestly does not sound too unbelievable where Ubisoft is concerned. Also, the red and white robe worn by the solder is reminiscent of the assassin garb from the Brotherhood era of Assassin Creed’s games.

Though, Vikings have never really been known for their stealth. So we wonder if the style of the game, should it really be in a Norse setting, will be more in the style of Odyssey as compared to older Assassin’s Creed games.

That said, these are all speculations so far and Ubisoft has not confirmed any details for the next Assassin’s Creed game. At least for now, we still have Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to play.
