‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Trailer Introduces New MCU Super Team

Marvel fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Fantastic Four in the MCU, and the wait is finally coming to an end. With the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps now released, excitement is building for the team’s big-screen debut. This summer promises a slate of highly anticipated films, but few match the anticipation surrounding Marvel’s First Family. Decades of unsuccessful adaptations have only heightened expectations for a definitive take on the beloved characters, and this time, it looks like we finally get a comic-accurate Galactus too.

Marvel Studios has already ensured a long-term presence for the Fantastic Four within the larger cinematic universe. Before the trailer was even announced, Kevin Feige confirmed that the team will play a crucial role in upcoming Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars. Reports suggest that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will make an appearance in First Steps, linking the film directly to the franchise’s next major crossover events.

Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
