The Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Xbox One X Can Glow In The Dark

The console war has always been ongoing, but it’s especially bound to heat up this year, as both Sony and Microsoft are on track to launch their new-gen consoles in the coming months. Before that, however, the latter comes bearing a special little something: the limited-edition Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X, with an extra glow-in-the-dark flair.

Slated to drop in June 2020, the themed bundle sports laser etchings, LED lighting, and custom panels that reflect the game’s colour scheme and futuristic setting. The console, as such, takes after the black and silver aesthetic of Johnny Silverhand – portrayed by none other than Keanu Reeves – alongside some red accents, and includes a glow-in-the-dark message reading “No future”.

Prior to the reveal, the Xbox team posted a code-filled teaser video on its official website that saw fans working together to solve the riddle. But Amazon Canada got a little trigger-happy, and accidentally posted the listing early, which dampened some of the excitement and hype. Following that, it was only a matter of time before Microsoft dropped an official confirmation.

Still, the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X announcement feels a little out of place, considering how the game won’t be released till 17 September 2020, and the team’s commitment to a December launch for its upcoming Xbox Series X. It’s one of the more elaborate Xbox designs in recent times, though, and for some, that’s enough of a reason to buy.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X Limited Edition Bundle (includes a digital download of the full game when it releases on 17 September) will release in June 2020 and retail for S$559 in Singapore. Only interested in the controller? It will be released on 6 May in Singapore for S$94.90.
