Another classic member of the Batman‘s Rogues Gallery has joined Matt Reeves’ upcoming solo movie of the new Dark Knight. And his name is The Riddler.
Playing the iconic green-suited villain will be Paul Dano, as confirmed by Reeves himself on his Twitter account.
The hashtag is a reference to Edward Nashton, an alternate alter ego to the Riddler, who is more commonly known as Edward Nygma. Regardless of surname, the There Will Be Blood and Swiss Army Man star will no doubt prove an interesting new addition to the cast.
The 35-year-old will star opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman, along with Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.
Jonah Hill was initially tipped to star as Riddler, but talks to feature in the movie fell through, leaving his other potential role as The Penguin up in the air.
The Batman will release in theatres on June 25, 2021.
