Switch’s Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition Mixes It Up With Free Style Mode

With Capcom‘s Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition slashing its way onto the Nintendo Switch this February 20, the developers teased that “something extra” will be added to the classics on this new console debut, and now we know what it is.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition will add a new “Free Style Mode” that allows Dante’s abilities to be switched on the go, meaning you are free to choose from Swordmaster, Gunslinger, Royal Guard, Trickster, Doppelganger, and Quicksilver fighting styles anytime, anywhere. All you need to do is use the D-pad.

This wills significantly change how the game can be experienced, as previously, you could only equip one style at the beginning or middle of a level, and you were stuck with that.

Capcom has also stated that more updates will come for the game on January 30 and February 13, and it will be quite hard to top this already substantial feature.
