Stan Lee’s Latest Cameo is in a Disney, Not Marvel Comics Movie, and it’s Perfect

The passing of legendary comic book writer, Stan Lee, earlier this week has left a big void in our universe. For the fans who are not quite ready to say goodbye, there is one more Stan Lee appearance in Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, opening in theatres next week.

Given that Wreck-It-Ralph 2 is an animated movie, the king of cameos appears as a digital avatar of himself. In a blink-and-you-miss -it moment, Vanellope (voiced by Sarah Silverman) is being chased by Storm Troopers and ends up bumping into Stan Lee, who merely looks surprised before disappearing. Sadly, Stan Lee himself never got to see his cameo before his passing but his appearance here now takes a greater level of meaning after news of his recent departure.

The sequel to Wreck-It-Ralph follows Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) explore the internet as they search for a replacement part to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush. This shapes up to be a really fun watch as the setting is perfect for all sorts of contemporary references and also ideal for Lee to be featured given his huge impact on pop culture.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 opens on November 22, 2018 in Singapore.
