The Forger family is three months away from their return to the small screen, and it’s about high time to build up excitement for Season 3 of Spy x Family. The first trailer for the forthcoming sequel welcomes fans back into the world of espionage, teasing a young Twilight (aka Loid Forger) and the rest of the established cast, alongside project staff confirmation.
Not much else was shared, but the third outing will work towards lifting the veil on his past — partially, at least. The story is set to adapt the WISE Arc, based on the original manga by Tatsuya Endo, with its premiere scheduled for sometime in October 2025. Wit Studio and CloverWorks continue to lead the series, but Yukiko Imai, who was a storyboard artist and episode director on the first two seasons, is now the director.
Joining Imai are series composer Rino Yamazaki, character designer Kazuaki Shimada, returning music composer (K)NoW_NAME, and more. A commemorative visual was previously unveiled during Jump Festa 2025, featuring the adorable pair of Anya and Bond Forger:
The hit spy series was serialised in 2019 and received an anime adaptation in 2022. A 12-episode second season followed in October 2023, leading into its cinematic debut with Spy x Family Code: White. In the time since, it has become the subject of several collaborations, including Tokyo Bay Cruise, Street Fighter 6, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
Season 3 of Spy x Family picks up the comedic shenanigans and espionage thrills this October. No synopsis was announced, but Viz Media describes the overall story as such:
“Master spy Twilight is the best at what he does when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions in the name of a better world. But when he receives the ultimate impossible assignment—get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head!
Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!”
