Sail The Blues With ‘Spy x Family’ Tokyo Bay Cruise Starting Nov 2023

It’s real life meets anime, as cruise and shipping company Tokai Kisen is all ready to whisk passengers away on a Spy x Family experience through the waters of Tokyo Bay. From 25 November to 25 February 2024, special anime-themed decorations will grace the company’s Salvia Maru cruise ship, alongside a stamp rally activity — which awards a bonus ship seal — and a collaboration goods shop.

The one-hour-and-thirty-five minute cruise is set to depart from Yokohama and take fans through Tokyo Bay, past the Tokyo Aqua Line, and under the Rainbow Bridge. Tickets have already gone on sale and can be purchased online or at 7-Eleven or LAWSON convenient stores in Japan, but there are some caveats to note.

For one, Spy x Family night cruise tickets are only available with online purchases, and not for 7-Eleven or LAWSON ticket holders. The tickets are also slightly pricier at 2,000 yen (around US$13) for adults and 1,500 yen (US$10) for children. However, the cruise includes a guided tour of Tokyo Bay and purchasable snack and drink tickets. Passengers are required to buy tickets two months in advance for dates after 14 January, while the onboard collaboration goods store will remain closed throughout February.

Here’s an official tour video for a better look at the layout of the ship and its amenities:

The Spy x Family cruise looks set to be an enjoyable and memorable time for fans, beyond conventional experiences like a themed cafe or pop-up store. Of course, the lack of assassins onboard (unlike Yor’s exciting and harrowing encounter in the Cruise Ship Arc) certainly makes it easier to sail the blues away.
