The Beatles Biopic Drops First Look At Fab Four Across Its 4 Films

Now that the search for its Fab Four is over, Sony has unveiled a first look at the cast set to bring The Beatles to the silver screen.

The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event First Looks

In a unique marketing stunt for its upcoming film The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, the studio printed and distributed four different postcards throughout the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), featuring Harris Dickinson (Beach Rats) as John Lennon, Paul Mescal (Normal People) as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn) as Ringo Starr.

“We’ve been given exclusive postcards promoting the new Beatles movies!” reads LIPA’s official post on Instagram. “We’ve hidden them around LIPA, and we want students to find them.”

The choice of school is no coincidence, as Paul McCartney co-founded it. Sam Mendes, known for his work on American Beauty and 1917, is directing all four movies, each coming from the perspective of a different member. The helmer also serves as producer alongside Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor, with Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari), Oscar winner Peter Straughan (Conclave) and BAFTA and Tony Award winner Jack Thorne (Adolescence) writing the screenplays.

“I’m honoured to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,” said Mendes.

Joining the main quartet in the biopic are Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.

The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event will premiere in theatres on 7 April 2028.
