Skylanders, Lego Dimensions and Disney Infinity @ up to 50% OFF on Amazon

Prepare your credit cards folks, as Amazon is having a massive clearance on the latest Skylanders Superchargers, Disney Infinity 3.0 and Lego Dimensions toys to life games. This includes sales of previous versions as well of course.

But no, this is not a time timed sale. I’ve been tracking these games since the first Skylanders game came out and there is almost a formula to this. The new game comes out in Sept/Oct at the full retail price. Black Friday hits and the US$79.90 game can be had for US$50. Christmas rolls by and the temporary price cut stays, but come the New Year, all hell breaks loose.

This year’s price reduction seems to be even more cutthroat, because there are now three competing franchises to choose from, and unless you’re rolling in the dough, no one has a bakery that can accommodate the purchase of all three franchises.

The good news is, all these titles are eligible for FREE SHIPPING to Singapore if you hit US$125, so there is no way to lose here.

SKYLANDERS SUPERCHARGERS

Starter Packs

Current Price: US$39.99
Original Price: US$74.99

This is the starter pack that you probably spent $140 picking up in local stores.Well, ALL versions for the various consoles are on sale at this price so take your pick.

Dark Edition Starter Packs

Current Price: READ BELOW
Original Price: US$99.99

But wait. You’ve heard about the Dark Edition. These are basically repaints of the existing regular set, but collectors love them. The discount isn’t as great, unless you know where to look.

If you had simply done a basic search, and clicked on the Dark Editions, you would have seen that they go for about US$75. The worst deal is with the PlayStation 3 version, which is priced at US$97.32. The best deal is with the PlayStation 4 version, for US$42.20.

But what about this one?

Amazon actually has another deal for the Nintendo Wii U and this is the version that comes with Dark Stealth Elf, a bonus character. And it’s actually cheaper than the Dark Edition Wii U that comes without it. Don’t ask me why, but here it is.

Wii U (With Dark Stealth Elf)

So is that it? Yes…and no. You will notice that the Nintendo Wii Dark Edition is missing. It’s actually on sale here, but for some reason, this set DOES NOT come with free shipping to Singapore.

Nintendo Wii

For completionist, you do know that only the Nintendo sets come with the bonus Bowser and Donkey Kong Amiibo figure, so you need to pick up both the regular and Dark sets, to catch them all.

What about the figurines and vehicles?

Here’s where it gets a little iffy. I’ve noticed that the deals keep changing, so what I’ve listed here might not apply next week, but at least it’s a gauge. My advice is to keep adding stuff to the cart and checkout items in batches of US$125, to maximise on free shipping.

DISNEY INFINITY 3.0

Most people I know are picking this up because it’s Star Wars, but if you’re a Disney fan, the sculpt is pretty decent as well.

Starter Packs

Xbox 360
Current Price: US$39.99
Usual Price: US$64.99

Xbox One
Current Price: US$48.63

PlayStation 3
Current Price: US$49.70

PlayStation 4
Current Price: US$49.70

Nintendo Wii U
Current Price: US$50.89

What about deals on the Disney Infinity 3.0 figures?

Again, the price fluctuate, but I see that the earlier figures released last year, such as Kylo Ren, Darth Vader and Han Solo are going for US$9.99 instead of US$13.99. If you have the time, check out the figures from the original Disney Infinity and Disney Infinity 2.0.

LEGO DIMENSIONS

These to me, are the best buys. Even if you do not play the game, these are actual Lego toys and unlike the other Lego toys that will not ship to Singapore, Amazon does send Lego Dimensions orders here.

Starter Packs

Current Price: US$69.00

So where is the Xbox One version? At this point, the set is selling for over US$100 and it will not ship to Singapore.

THE REAL DEAL

But the real deal is with the Fun Packs. As of now, some the fun packs are going for 50% off. They each come with a minifig and a vehicle, and the US$7.49 pricing is incredible.

And some Team Packs are 25% off.

Those are the current deals, and if you haven’t started, this is the perfect time to pick up the Starter Packs for any of these games.

So what happens when the inevitable sequels go on sale this year? You might probably want to wait for Amazon, and us, to inform you of the great discounts come 2017.
