The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has introduced several new nifty features, including a built-in privacy display, an upgraded Super Steady mode with Horizontal Lock, and the series’ slimmest and lightest build to date, but where a smaller footprint would traditionally indicate less power, that isn’t the case here.
The device now packs the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip into a chassis measuring 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and weighing 214 grams (versus 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm and 218 grams before), which translates to a 24 per cent boost in GPU performance on paper. Coupled with a 6.9-inch 120Hz QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display (3,210 x 1,440), it serves as a versatile option for both work and play — a testament to the potent combo of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 and Adreno 840 processor.
Putting it to the test with Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Delta Force saw smooth gameplay across the board, as well as efficient heat dissipation, in particular, for the first two titles. Check out the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in the video above, spanning benchmarking indicators, starting and ending temperatures, and more.
The S$1,828 base model features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM (with a limited-time pre-order upgrade to 512GB at the same price), while the 512GB iteration retails for S$2,278. It will be available in six colours: Cobalt Violet, Black, Sky Blue, White, Pink Gold, and Silver Shadow, with the latter two exclusive to the official Samsung website.
