Pokémon Center At Jewel Changi Airport Closes For Singapore-Inspired Q3 2026 Reopening

Each of the official, permanent Pokémon Center stores in and out of Japan comes with its own exclusive offerings, and the Singapore space is set to introduce some cultural flair into the mix. Starting 1 April, the Jewel Changi Airport outlet will temporarily close to make way for a makeover spotlighting fully localised elements, with a reopening scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

Following the revamp, fans can expect “heritage-inspired installations alongside interior design elements inspired by everyday local culture”, an expanded range of merchandise and shopping experiences, and a new Pokémon ambassador representing the “unique charm of Singapore”. No further specifics about the project, including featured attractions or cultural elements, were shared, but it’s worth noting that Pokémon Center Singapore marks the first overseas location to undergo a major renewal.

In the meantime, Jewel Changi Airport and Plaza Singapura will host pop-up stores for three months beginning 1 April and 6 April, respectively, and carry selected merchandise, such as plush toys and trading cards.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our fans in Singapore. Over the past seven years, we have witnessed Pokémon become an increasingly meaningful part of everyday life, and we are proud to have been part of that journey,” said managing director Shunsuke Sasaki. “This renewal marks an important milestone as we further elevate the brand experience at the Pokémon Center at Jewel Changi Airport.”

The store opened in April 2019 and was the first permanent launch outside of Japan, with the upcoming overhaul effort reflecting the centre’s “commitment to establishing deeper roots in the island, evolving the shopping experience into one that is distinctly local-inspired and resonating more meaningfully with fans in Singapore”.
