It’s been a few months since Avengers: Infinity War has taken to the cinemas for its summer run, smashing its way through global records much like how Stormbreaker cuts a swath through a hoard of Outriders, and we’re still recovering from the vibrant madness — also that now iconic snap of mad Titan, Thanos.
Earth’s mightiest heroes have fallen, they’ve lost some of their strongest comrades and closest friends, and half of the universe’s population have disintegrated to dust. As we wait with bated breath for its sequel, fingers crossed that our old guard survives, we’re given a glimpse of what may possibly be Rescue, Pepper Pott’s superhero alias from the comics.

A recent leak making its way around the internet features a selfie of actress, Gwyneth Paltrow (Mortdecai, Spiderman: Home-coming), in a metallic blue armour, sporting a familiar arc-reactor-like middle on a pretty Stark-inspired design. While we’re currently unable to confirm the veracity of the picture, it seems like Potts is set to follow the footsteps of her comic-bound counterpart — possibly to save her Titan-stranded fiance.
It won’t be the first time she’s suited up to haul Stark’s ass out of trouble in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the Mandarin’s assault in Iron Man 3, Potts takes out Stark’s nemesis with a well-aimed repulsor blast, after wrangling an arm off one of Stark’s Iron Legion.
With Captain Marvel about to take over the silver screen, and a stand-alone Black Widow movie greenlit, it’s nice to see how Marvel’s letting the girls take centre stage for a change.
