Oculus Shares New Details On Resident Evil 4 VR

If you have missed it, Capcom recently announced the arrival of Resident Evil 4 in Virtual Reality via Oculus Quest 2 during their Resident Evil Showcase livestream.

During today’s Oculus Gaming Showcase, the company showed us more of how the classic game is being turned from a third-person game to an all-new first-person VR experience.

In VR, besides moving around with the analog stick, an upper-body rig has been added by the development studio Armature to work movement using the Touch controllers, which will also act as your mode of interaction. Oculus adds that you can play through the entire game seated if you’d like.

Besides control, the game includes remastered art of over 4,500 textures and character animations that have been converted to Unreal Engine 4.

Resident Evil fans now have a lot of exciting stuff to look forward to the recent release of Resident Evil Village demo and the upcoming animation reboot.

If you’re still on the fence regarding VR, the Oculus Quest 2 for just US$299 or S$434.55 on Amazon (US) and Amazon (SG) respectively which is a pretty reasonable price all around.
