New The Witcher Season 2 Images Show Off Swole Geralt In Heavy Armour

While it’ll still be a while till we get to see Henry Cavill return as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, the English actor has given us a tease at the White Wolf’s shiny new getup on his Instagram.

The post reveals new images of Geralt rocking a suit of black plate armour. Of course, making a return are his School of the Wolf medallion, silver sword, and those flowing white locks.

Moreover, set photos of Freya Allan’s Ciri sporting a new look also recently surfaced the Internet (via Redanian Intelligence):

Though her outfit is partially obscured by the foliage, one can’t mistake that those are a tunic, pants and boots, with her hair tied back into a practical ponytail. Perhaps this could be her time training to be a monster slayer at Geralt’s Witcher school, Kaer Morhen?

The Witcher Season 2 is currently still in production after being on hiatus for a few months (with a third season seemingly also scheduled to film right after shooting for this one wraps up), and is slated to premiere sometime in 2021 on Netflix.

Two spinoffs for the live-action adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels include The Witcher: Blood Origin, a live-action prequel miniseries about the very first Witcher, and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, a prequel animated movie centered around Geralt’s mentor and friend, Vesemir.
