Natasha Lyonne is set to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, Deadline has reported. Lyonne, known for her roles in Netflix’s Russian Doll and Peacock’s Poker Face, joins a growing list of actors in undisclosed roles for the film currently in production.
Lyonne’s role remains a mystery, sparking widespread speculation among fans. Recent cast additions, including Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich, whose characters are also shrouded in secrecy, have fueled rumours that Marvel might be introducing the villainous Frightful Four team. The Frightful Four are traditionally depicted as rivals to the Fantastic Four, consisting of The Wizard, The Sandman, a brainwashed Medusa, and the lesser-known Paste-Pot Pete.
The confirmed cast for Fantastic Four already includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing), Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as the cosmic villain Galactus.
While details about Lyonne’s specific role are under wraps, her involvement adds significant star power to an already impressive lineup. Lyonne has garnered acclaim through various projects over the years, including American Pie, Orange is the New Black and But I’m a Cheerleader, and her recent success in Russian Doll and Poker Face has further cemented her status in Hollywood.
The Fantastic Four is slated for release on 25 July 2025, and will mark the beginning of Phase 6 in the MCU, following the completion of Phase 5 with titles like Deadpool & Wolverine.
